The APEX International Controller has unique features in both the brake and drive circuits.

Features:

Fitted with Flying leads to allow fitment of international plug fittings
The design will allow perfect control of all types of slot car racing
Upgraded to handle 30A for the UK BSCRA high current motors
4 Brake controls on the box and one on the top of handle
4 Speed controls on the box and two on the handle
User-Changeable Single and double finger trigger (Simple slide-on system so the handle doesn't need to be taken apart)
Trigger spring tension adjustment via easy access screw
Optional trigger throw adjustment
User replaceable Plug-in cable from the handle to the control box
Automotive 20A fuse with illumination to show if it has blown

Technical:

VII now has a stronger output drive stage, so will handle G12 and Strap motors as well as all the small motors found in the plastic ready-to-run cars.
V1 is for motors up to 8A and plastic chassis cars.
If the fuse blows, it is illuminated from behind through a hole in the right-hand side of the box to show the fault condition.

Designed and built in the UK by Steve Hills.

TruSpeed was established by Steve Hills because he could not find a slot car controller with settings that could be customised to suit his driving style. Steve is a very keen slot car racer, and as he raced different slot cars, on different tracks, he realised that a one-size-fits-all slot car controller was not good enough.

Steve worked for many years in the audio industry and is the designer of the modern Bozak range of products.
He applied this design skill to his passion for slot car racing and TruSpeed was born.

Maintenance Tips:

Once you feel a scratchy operation or can hear squeaking then it is advisable to apply a small amount of switch cleaner/lubricant (such as Servisol Super 10) to the wiper element board. This will keep it smooth, with a light trigger action, while maintaining good conductivity.

The plug-in cable can be removed each time it is packed away, but is not essential.
